I have notice that at some computers (WinXPpro) the Hardware Manager does not shows the CPU as a SEPARATE device. For example:
mb intel bx + celeron - it does not
mb via kt266a + athlon - it shows
I would like to know why it happens?

Have used 2 or 3 Athlons which all show in D /manager.
Maybe Microsoft is biosed towards providing Processor drivers for AMD rather than Intel
