hard drive problem

recently my mp3s have disappeared off of my hard drive, however the free space isnt availible so they werent deleted. if i run a chkdsk i have lots of file record segments unreadable. is there any way to fis this?

i relaly dont know what happened one day it worked next day it didnt. ne help would be appreciated

Hey tbird, welcome back.

You might try mounting the drive in another computer, but it sounds like it's dead. You're gonna hafta try a disk recovery program. Someone around here was talking about a free one recently.
