Hard Drive installation

I am adding another HD to my computer.
I set it for slave and my old one to master.


I had to intall an IDE sdapter to make it work.

Everything seemed to go okay.

But it does not detect my new HD.

WHY?

Are you booting from the card with your old drive ok? I'm not familiar with adapter card configurations... does it have a bios feature that you can enter and see if it's set up correctly?

i'm new to installing a HD, but I seem to remember a bios setting.

i tried doing the same when I just added one. I had to run them on seperate IDE's.
