Hello,

My 160 GB Maxtor SATA drive, running Windows XP Pro, went corrupt or something. There is information that I need from it, so I installed another small harddrive and tossed windows on it. I am trying to slave the SATA and see whats on there, but it halts at boot up on the check disk screen. It says:

"One of the disks needs to be checked for consistency."

It finds several errors and then does nothing, as if frozen. If I choose to cancel the disk check, windows does not boot and just hangs on a black screen.

Any help will be appreciated.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
