GTA3 > Windows Updates

I know this isn't really a gta3 problem but here goes..

I like many others have probs with the text/graphics in gta 3 so I went and got the windows update fix

http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Patch/Q306676/WXP/EN-US/Q306676_WXP_SP1_x86_ENU.exe

Only problem is... it wont install. I've had this problem with other ms xp updates, i get the error every time 'Failed to install cataglog files'. Can anybody tell me what's wrong? or send me the files and maybe I could do it manually.

have you tried redownloading that update?

maybe you got a corrupt version.
