GSM True Speech Codec.

I've never had a problem getting connected to Yahoo Chat before. Right now, Voice won't work for me. The errors I'm getting are:

Your computer does not support the required audio compression format."

"Yahoo! Voice Chat requires the GSM True Speech codec in order to compress voice data for efficient data transmission. This codec comes as part of your Windows operating system.
If you do not have this codec installed, or if it is corrupted, you may need to reinstall the codec."

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. :)

Been trying that all morning, Vector. The wizard doesn't work for me because it says this thing isn't installed. I can't figure it out.

Aha! I figured it out. These codecs are needed for Yahoo Chat...in cas anyone else experiences this problem.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
