you can do benchmarks but its not worth it. You can feel it anyways when your computer boots up, when you load programs, bla bla....

to answer the question adobe acrobat reader and adobe acrobat are two diff things. THe adobe acrobat can make documents into .pdf so that the reader, can emm read it?....0_o

and imho use the adobe acrobat reader 5.1 instead of the 6 as people say 6 loads slower...

Well for one your applications should load faster, games should be smoother and your machine should not bog down as much, like you be able to go for days now without a reboot. Plus applications that were hard to run befoe should be alot easier now, I never added ram and did not see a difference but its just that the difference is less noticeable example from 512 to 768 but from 128 to 512 should be a major boost.
