Ok before I ask the question im going to ask I am going to remind all of you that U.S. Law allows for you to make backups of games for personal use so dont flame me and call me a pirate.. and please unless u have an answer to my question dont reply! Thanks in advance heres my question.

I recently purchased a retail copy of grand theft auto 3 and as I do with all my games I wish to make a backup copy to use (because I want to keep the original cd's in mint condition and use the backups to **** around with) I used clone cd 4 and copied the install disk just fine but when i go to copy the play disk it gives me buffer errors... I tried to copy with ezcd creator 5 but that wont even touch gta 3. What application can I use that will DEFINETLY copy gta 3. My cd recorder is a generic 52x24x52 CDRW drive and i only use expensive sony blank cdr's (not the cheap 9.99 spindles they sell at frys and best buy) any help is appreciated! :)

use ClonyXXL to identify the protection.Clony will add a profile to cloneCD which makes it easier to copy...or you can try Alchol120% it's great program no problems with it

I downloaded clonyxxl and it told me it cant find aspi drivers

its safe disk 2 plus secur rom which means if all u have is a burner u won't be able to play it on your pc anyways because secure rom can detect if your using a cdr in your burner.

i have a 16x48 dvd rom in my computer also... im trying to copy the game from the dvd rom to my burner..

thanx for the driver im gonna give it a try now...

Then there is always blindread/blind write suite.

Personally I used blindwrite to make a backup of GTA3 and it worked fine.

have you tried reading the cd to an image file using clonecd with the original disk in the cdrw?

then put a blank disk in, and burn the image file to the cd... that usually works for me when it wont copy properly using the DVDROM as the reading drive.

Hey man, don't post or talk about cracks here!

Do not post copyrighted material such as retail software, visual themes or other software that requires permission before distribution.
Warez - is not allowed. This is not a forum on software piracy. This includes ‘keygens’ and 'cracks', how to obtain or install them.

Straight from the guidelines!

since the person being helped has achieved what they wanted to achieve and there are now links popping up concerning warez... this thread will be closed :)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
