It probably depends on where you live, but I see them in stores around me all the time. You can probably call your local retailers to get the scoop, which could save you the drive.

I downloaded and played the Burnout Revenge and PGR3 demos from the Xbox Live Marketplace yesterday evening. The demos are obviously pretty short and limited, but unlike screenshots, they let you get a real feel for what the games are like.

The cars and landscapes in PGR3 are beautiful, but Burnout Revenge looks like more fun. It's so fast-paced, and the slamming-crashing-smashing action is awesome.

Oblivion has an interesting storyline, and breathtaking scenery, but as I suspected earlier, I know it's going to get addictive, and I simply don't have that much time to spend on gaming. I'm looking more for short, quick, fun games that I can just play for an hour or so when I'm bored and have a little bit of time.

I'm going to try more demos from the Marketplace before I settle on what to finally pick up. It's a really nice way to sample stuff.

If you are looking for an hour or so without getting too addicted, you may be best suited to get a sports game. You could start a season or play recreationally, and be done within an hour or so
