Google gets it wrong

I was reading this on SomethingAwful today. Basically, the article states that Google screws up more than the other two mega search engines (BIG TIME) when it comes to finding a relevant result.

Is this common?

I dunno, I think it depends on your keyword / boolean searches. I usually get what I want out of the old Googs.
