GOLD, Baby!

The long wait is finally over. On Wednesday, November 11, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. PST, Microsoft announced that it had released Windows Vista to manufacturing, ending five years of waiting and one of the longest development periods in Windows history. For Microsoft, its partners, and its customers, the lengthy road to Vista concludes with Microsoft shipping the so-called "golden master" version of the product to manufacturing and its closed partners.

I get the feeling this will show up on MSDN on Monday next week.
My desktop's been running RC 2 anyway, so I'm all ready to make the jump. :)
supposedly there will be some kind of version available around the end of november.... but the general consumer versions won't be available till January sometime.
Well - that'll not be in anyone's Christmas stockings then - if it is true about January....[EDIT] just heard it on the radio news - forecast is for 100million installs in the year (or is that in January!) now then - at a price of whatever how much cash does that give Bill to play with for support? :p [/EDIT]

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
