"Go to first unread" goes to last post

Clicking on "Go to first unread post" is shooting me to the last post in all threads...even threads I've not read any posts in before...anyone else notice this or is it my beer?

Ive always used that to go to the last post. It is interesting how it says "first unread post" though.

Seems to work here, tho I blame jelsoft if it is bust

posts are considered new if they have appeared since your last action as your last action is timestamped in the database, you don't have to have read a thread for it to dissappear as an old post.

I'm not sure if I understand that, but I think I do. So the link should be titled "Go to the first unread post after your last action even if it's not the first unread post"?

yup, if the database stored every users last view of each post, the database would be enormous. Instead it deals with the entire forum .

Hence making, http://www.ntfs.org/forum/search.php?s=&action=getnew pretty damn useful when you visit.
