Gigabyte r9000 pro & i850 MoBo

Hi all! I just purchased a Gigabyte R9000 Pro for my wifes comp. Seems that every time the comp is rebooted, there is a bios beep, and i get a message saying that the configuration has changed or the bios batt needs to be replaced. I put her old GeForce card back in, and no problems. It is a Compaq PC, with an i850gb chipset. Anyone ever hear of any compatibility issues on this?

Try resetting the CMOS on your motherboard and then install the new card.

I did flash it to the latest bios, but, I never actually reset it or loaded defaults...I'll give it a shot when I get home. Thanks, Teddy

was the old card a pci and the new card an agp ?

No, They are both AGP.
