Getting an inkjet printer on a home network through a router?

Hey I was just wondering if anyone could help me out here, I'd like to get my HP photosmart 1315 printer available to my computer. It is connected to my parents computer, in another room.

Both computers are connected to my router, which connects us to the internet. Is there a way to set up some kind of network that will allow my computer to print to that printer?

My machine is running WinXP, the machine that the printer is located on is running Win98...

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me!

Just share the printer on the computer that it's physically attatched to. You'll need to install the driver on you're computer and point it to the network printer.

Yes, I agree with pappcam. It works very well at my house.

dammit I can't load the driver. I keep getting this message

could not load printer installer.
the class installer registry entry is invalid.

Make sure you have the right driver. You will need a WinXP driver for the XP machine. You can't use the same one as on the Win98 machine.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
