GeForce 4 MX 440 problem....

Hi !

I got a problem with my Creative 3D Blaster 4 on XP HomeEdition.
The installation was ok, no problems. I installed the Creative XP Driver (with Detonator 27.50) and played some games...everything alright, BUT I can´t switch easily to the 1600x1200 resolution, the last selectable solution is 1280*1024. The only way to select higher solutions, is to go to the Advanced options of the card, and click on the "nView" Field, then the the monitor switches for a moment, and then I can select the other possible solutions (up to 2048x ... )

Can anybody tell me please what to do ?

Double to ensure that you have the correct monitor driver installed, and that your monitor is rated for higher resolutions. I found that whenever I changed my video driver, the system would load up the 'default plug and play' monitor, so I had to reload my specific monitor driver.

Thanks for helping ! Indeed it was the monitor driver that made the difference, after I installed the right one everything worked fine.
