GBA and GBA SP LCD question

Does anyone know if the GBA and the SP have the same LCD I know there the same size already but will a standard GBA LCD go into an SP version?

don't think so, the gba sp lcd has a blacklight and other things

well, backlighting makes on difference, some people modded an orginal gba for a backlight, it could very well be the same screen, though I think I heard something about more brilliant colours or something, but it's been a long time.

ok well was just woundering if the layout and how they hook up to the main board on the GBA was the same because I have an SP with a broken screen and a normal GBA with a working screen so I was going to transfer the screen
