Garmin GPS's map update $30

It sounds great that Amazon is offering One-time map update for (US & Canada)for Garmin GPS's for $30.

It says that this is the latest 2011 update.

One time update for 30 dollars is not worth it.

Participate in other areas of the forum too instead of just spamming offers all the time that people really do not care about.

Thanks. But reading the info it looks like this is the 2010 mapset which I already have.

It's actually not that bad a deal. I only update every other year, which with a 6 year life cycle on the GPS, means at this pricing I save $60 (2 paid updates) over the life of my GPS.

Well if you take in to account you can get lifetime update for 119 dollars then yes this is a bit of a bad deal.

Myself, never have found a need for GPS as I know where a place is just by the address or part of it.
