games crashes

ok everytime I would play a game (couple games) the game would just crash and close by itself or just close and I would have to restart the game.any advice

I'm on WINXP PRO

my pc is a 1200mhz amd, nvidia mx400 64mb,256 DDR,80 gig HD and sounblaster live.only started doing this after I had to reinstall xp

Oh great, now we're gonna hafta hear about how crappy the MX cards are AGAIN! I'm just about sick of hearing that from everybody. I've got an MX400 64mb and it works fine, so don't go telling him it's his "POS" video card......

Hadda get that out before it started all over again.....

cobra, any idea what kind of motherboard you have? it's kind of a key piece of hardware. and did you try new video drivers? http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?PAGE=windows2000

Maybe you should try updating your drivers
