Gaim 2.0.0 Beta 6 Released

Notes:
Sean: Barring any seriously major new issues, we expect
this to be the final beta release before 2.0.0. This has
a bunch of cool UI changes, some Google Talk features,
a bunch new plugins, and other goodness.

Nathan: Beta6 rocks. That is all.

I just moved up from Beta 5, and it looks like the new GTK+ version fixed some font/widget rendering issues that I was having on Vista. I also noticed the new plugins, but I'm not sure what the Google Talk features are, and what's changed in the UI.

Edit: Ah, I see. It can check your Gmail account for new mails now, like the official Google Talk client.

The bottom bar (status) shrunk down (thank someone). And the rendering issues are gone (thank someone again). When someone types "lol" I can actually see the second "l" now; I kept thinking everyone was saying "lo" so I responded "hello".

And the new status bar/away bar works much nicer.

Yeah, that's the only UI change I noticed. It's a good change nonetheless.

This is probably a slightly older build, but Beta 6 it looks almost exactly the same. As Matt said, the status bar is smaller now though.

those missing characters were annoying. good to see the new update
