I have a friend that is running ME (Yes, he is a cheap *******) and everytime he uses a search function on his pc forces IE to shut down ... something like Iexpore error "FTAPP.DLL"... I have been doing some research on this and it appears it's a virus caused by some spyware applications (Kazaa or something) anything I can do to help him short of formatting? Also, what would be the repercussions for loading my XP cd on his computer...? (Again, he is really cheap...)

ps... I have tried searching for this "ftapp.dll" on his comp and deleting it, but it won't allow me to...
