Fried my mommaboard! Recommendations please!

I am now open to suggestions for a new M.B.; ATX size, XP Athlon 1800, DDR memory...as many USB ports as possible; I don't overclock, but flexibility is nice.

USB bootable would be nice!

Go to http://www.tomshardware.com read there Kt400 round up and make your decision, I got the Gigabyte one which only came in second to one board.... but hey for a 100 bucks 2nd place is a ok with me!


PS. u can update bios from windows no need for a floppy

I would go gigabyte or asus, I have gigabyte, the dual bios is well handy, so if u bugger up one bios then you have a backup that will copy itself over the damged one,

Asus are generally fast and have some nice features like cpu heat protection etc.
