turn it off ? it works, just a bit too well when i try to get ports it gets blocked

pass in on $ext_if from <dns:names> to any port { 80, 443, 2010, 9000:9200 }

think it needs to be that, so it lets it talk to any IP on $ext_if provided its one of those listed ports

is how its set atm, i will try it with your updated line tomorrow when i get new drives and i have sometime to work on the pc

tried your new line geffy - comes back with syntax error, way i have it above does work, so may well stick with that , after a bit more digging about it doesn't seem to like it if you add more that one port to that line
