download managers make downloads more convenient, but I've never seen one add appreciable speed

lost connections, scheduled, and sequential downloads are the real reasons to use these utilitities

I think they're o.k. if you use dial up and dl more than 5 megs.

I can't believe how many Download managers look like Flashget. Anyhow - Thanx for the info, I like them - They come in handy even if you are on broadband, a lot of the sites now are requiring you to have one now. I used quite a bit of them and am still trying to find the right one for me ..
