Apologies if this has been posted before but couldnt find it anywhere...

I was using

%windir%\System32\shutdown.exe -s -f -t 00

to shut down the computer to the "You can now turn off your computer" screen.

Whilst browsing through the system32 directory i came across this:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\tsshutdn.exe 0 /delay 0

Create a shortcut and when you click it, it logs off, shuts down and turns off the computer.

Here's the shortcut for a restart -

create a new shortcut then enter -

shutdown -r -t 0

Restart

Restart:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\tsshutdn.exe 0 /reboot /delay 0

:( I get the; it is now safe to turn off your computer screen - like on the old AT mobo's.
am I doing sumat wrong ????

UPS

The Uniterruptible Power Supply (UPS) service is stopped on my PC if that helps, stop it in Power Options from Control Panel or Start->Run->services.msc

u could try using shutdown in command promt. if will show u what u can do with that. but that "safe to turn off" yea same thing here didnt find a way to fix that yet

my computer turn's itself off. i just click shut down + bugger off:D

Any of the SP crew still out there?
