Formatting CDRs

I am trying to find out ( I have a factory installed XP Version so works well) Is it possible on winmedia player or Nero to format a disc so you can record to it like a normal 3.5 floppy straight from an office or similar application.

If not is their something that will work with XP that will allow this?.

Any help please.

YES

Put a blank cd in your cdrw drive, select "open writabled cd folder using windows explorer" then you can save onto the cd as you would do with Directcd.
