i'm gonna install a 60gb maxtor in my new pc,i know xp will format
drv:c w/ whatever size i choose to use(20 gbs). now when i've
formatted drv:c , do i need to reboot and direct xp to format the
remaining 40 gbs to drv:d or can i simply "back up " and format
without rebooting ?

Maxtor comes with a boot disk that should partition and format it for you in Fat32. Install Xp in Fat32 on drive C or whatever, then convert both partitions to NTFS if you want.(If you don't know how to convert to NTFS,someone here will know).
Hope this helps.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
