Folder Views

Hi There...

This one's been mentioned several times in this forum, but I still can't get things to behave themselves.

I just want my folders to maintain their own views when I close them, but I frequently find them having changed when I visit them at various times. The one that annoys me the most is when I visit the Control Panel, and always have to change it!

The "Remember each folder's view settings" option is checked always, so I really don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'll set up the required view, only to find that it has later changed.

Help!

Should I really need to go poking around inside the registry in order to resolve such a problem?

The link mentions two methods - do they both work? I don't fancy the idea of deleting bits from the registry by hand, as I wouldn't know if I was deleting the right stuff in the first place.

Ep, glad to see you come back and tidy up...did want to ask a one day favor, I want to enhance my resume , was hoping you could make me administrator for a day, if so, take me right off since I won't be here to do anything, and don't know the slightest about the board, but it would be nice putting "served administrator osnn", if can do, THANKS

Been running around Quora lately, luv it there https://tinyurl.com/ycpxl
