folder view resets itself ?

im having a very annoying problem...i keep my folders in detail view...but the root of my d: keeps changing itself to tile view....(i hate tile view) and as many time as i change it back it resets itself to tile view within a few minuts of closing the windows and returning. what do i do to regain control?

I've had some pretty odd folder related problems under XP (I'm asuming you're using XP too). It's pretty lame, I've had folders with only Visual Studio workspaces in them change to "Music" folders...

Any answer will benefit me too

How to set the folders and make them stick
To make the folder settings stay, there are two methods,

A) One is to delete the two registry entries (after backing them up).
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\BagMRU]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\Bags]

B) Another is to add the entry "BagMRU Size" and set it to a value greater than 400 that is the default
Go to:-
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell
and add a DWORD called
BagMRU Size
and give it a value of
000003e8
Then go to :-
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam
make a DWORD called
BagMRU Size
and give it a value of
000003e8

This doesn't work in Vista.

Anyone know how to fix this and this is absolutely very annoying.
