I am having a problem with getting my folder settings to stay after a restart. When I first had this problem I used the folder settings remembered reg tweak from this site and that fixed it, but now it dont seem to help. Anyone know of another way to get the settings to stay?

make sure this is checked.

I find that setting the view you want on your documents and settings folder and then applying to all folders helps this problem

Was it this registry tweak you applied? It usually works.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell]
"BagMRU Size"=dword:00000fa0

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam]
"BagMRU Size"=dword:00000fa0

If you want to use this as a .reg file remove the space in the second line after shell. The reply box added it for some strange reasons. Can't remove it.

This is the one I used

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell]
"BagMRU Size"=dword:000003e8

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam]
"BagMRU Size"=dword:000003e8
