Is it possible to compress a floppy drive in xp? I havent seen a way to do it like you could in 98. Do i be needin to dl some new software or somethin?

I think you could use NTFS compression on the disk, but there is no type of compression like there was in 98 and previous versions of windows really availible, MS recommends just using NTFS compression because it's ten times more stable and any NTFS system can decompress it on the fly.

I know you can format a hard drive to ntfs, but i am looking for a way to fit more on a floppy. If i remember correctly you could fit twice as much on one if it was compressed. I have tried a prog that formatted a floppy in 1.7, but it kept fubaring during the format.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
