Fireworks MX problem

anyone know how to save something in fireworks mx if it has a big work area but the thing u created in the work area is the thing u just want. heres a screen shot of what i mean, the grey button is what i want not the white part of it

cut it out, make a new document, paste in the new document., then crop the work area.

Right Click on the button you created and choose "Insert Slice". That will draw a green rectangle or slice around your figure (the button in this case). Right click on the slice and select "Export Selected Slice" and save it.
