Ed Bott, Carl Siechert and Craig Stinson have put the finishing touches on their book, Windows Vista Inside Out. For anyone who knows this line of books, they are of top-notch quality.

There apparently is a "two foot stack" of material to give a final proof to, and they estimate the book should be available around the same time Vista is, towards the end of January 2007.

The book can be pre-ordered from Amazon here:

Read Ed's post about it here:

I just pre-ordered mine :)

Sounds interesting. Just want to ask what the book contains before I spend my book voucher. :)
Can anyone give me a brief outline of what it contains. Is it anything like an administrator's handbook which guides you through various processes to complete certain tasks and/or explain how things function?

Pretty much as the title says, it's Windows Vista Inside Out. Thorough, In Depth examination of the Operating System, How to Use it, common troubleshooting and much more.

For the price, GREAT resource IMO. Not much specific detail on it until it is released to press.

I ordered both Vista Inside Out and Office 2007 Inside Out.

The Inside Out series are great reference materials to have.

Yeah, well my delivery estimate was off. I received that, and then a few days later they were delayed. I should get comission because I bet it's because of this thread :smoker:

Ep, glad to see you come back and tidy up...did want to ask a one day favor, I want to enhance my resume , was hoping you could make me administrator for a day, if so, take me right off since I won't be here to do anything, and don't know the slightest about the board, but it would be nice putting "served administrator osnn", if can do, THANKS

Been running around Quora lately, luv it there https://tinyurl.com/ycpxl
