Find Files shortcut

I know the windows+f key opens up the "seach for files or folders". Is there anyway to make a desktop icon that also does this?

Yes there is a way, open up your search and search for anything you want, it doesn't matter. Then when its finished searching click "File" and then "Save Search", and save it onto the Desktop.
