file (not) search

hi all,
I dont know if this is the right forum so sorry if its O/T.

File searching is a pain in the arse on XP

I dont get ANY results except an invisible warning box that pops up with a yellow triangle on it.Usually after 5 mins.

any ideas anyone ? before I d/l and install windows commander ?

dont know about windows search cuz it sucks bigtime. its really slow not to mention other probs with it. you should download a program called Effective File Search . its super fast and it has the interface of the old win 95/98 search
