i tried to join a file (.001, .002, .003, .004, ect) and the file turned out as "FileName.joiner" i tried changing the extention to .Iso, .Rar, .Exe, but no luck.. what in the world am i supposed to do?

the .nfo file says

a) unpack
b) roast
c) install

whats Roast? and how am i supposed to unpack something thats already unpacked?

edit: i used WinRar to open the first file and i got a bunch of BIN files and 1 CUE file, so i tried extracted and i'll try to burn it. it told me i needed files that i dont have.. its similar to the ones i have, except the file extension is a little different.. should i just change it?

Also, i think "roast" is just another name for "burn"

Usually files noted as 001 ,002 ...... are files left as a result of scan disc activity certainly they were prior to XP .

it does sounds like a RAR split file. maybe corrupt though.

but you could try a nice little program called hjsplit.exe

Those file extensions are usually part of the entire RAR package and should be unzipped along with the main .rar file. When I have multiple files such as that, I highlight them all and open them with WinRAR... it takes care of the rest. You might give that a try.

ok, muzikool got it.. i just highlighted them all and extracted... it gave me some errors, but it ended up working perfectly.

thanks

The roast part was probably a joke. 🙂

w/ winrar you can always hightlight the 1st file and do a "test archive files" to see if any of the parts are messed up. also the "roast" part of the nfo was probably something to do w/ the program ... perhaps someone cooking warez 🙄
