Fifa 2001 on XP

When I had windows 98 Fifa 2001 worked fine, but now that I have installed XP, it comes up with a white screen and then goes back to my desktop (exits the game) I have found no plave on www.ea.com for updates or anything to do with fifa 2001 for that matter. But I was hoping if one of you knew how to fix this problem.

According to this site:
Works only in Win95 Compatible mode... but my GamePad still doesn't work in it...
