Depends on monitor size and graphic card for some. Normal desktop resolution I use is 1152x864. In game works well @1024x768 on 19" flat screen and Radeon.

I got a 15" CRT monitor at the moment and my favorite desktop resolution is 800x600 32Bit colour and 85Hz refresh.

I plan to buy a 19 or 21" TFT and use 1280x1024 res for my desktop 🙂

I have a 17" flat screen CRT

Desktop resolution: 1024x768 @ 85 Hz and 32-bit color
Games (VERY rarely play any): 800x600 or 1024x768 ... with the nVidia Refresh Rate fix 😀

When stuff starts getting too cluttered, I use multiple desktops ... thanks to the nVidia Desktop Manager! 🙂

I run at 1600 x 1200 32 bit colour @ 80 Hertz on a 17" Flatscreen. Looks gorgeous on most games, just a bit of a nightmare reading text in some games (NeverWinter Nights springs to mind)

Monitor Question ??

On this subject i have a 21" Monitor the recommended res is 1600 x 1200 but its far too small, and cant hardly read whats on the screen ;-0. is thier any way to change that, as i have mine set on 1024

Also playing games i allways have to adjuct the screen controls everytime i play a game in 1024 etc, would 1600 be to hight for games ?

Was 1024x768 32Bit Colour on my GF3/1.3 T-Bird but now upgraded running at 1280x1024 32 Bit @ 85htz.....Runs very nice
on SoF II...!!!!
