False hardware

Ok, this is a ME related question but I think some of you might know something. Too many CD units are showing up in Explorer. It's supposed to be a CD reader on D: and a burner on E:. All of a sudden another unit called F: have showed up and it seems to be completely dead and I can't remove it. It doesn't seem to have any purpose, I suppose it's a bug.

Do anyone of you know how to remove this "false hardware"?

go to device manager

i bet you got some phantom devices you need to remove, im not sure if me shows you hidden devices but look and see, and remove anything that doesnot pertain to ur roms.....😉
