Failing PSU

Yea I used both Seagate and WD's hard drive testers, I forget which one was which, but one said there was an issue and one said it was good. Same goes for other applications. Annoying.

Yea, I assumed why the crashing issue has followed me through formats is because it's something I install, an update, program, tweak. Which I tried to track down. Which came to the uxtheme.dll which I will try not hacking it for awhile after my next format to see if that changes things.

And I haven't used IE for many many many many years :)

Thanks.

I had a similar problem a while ago, but is was a cpu problem.

It was simply overheating and would crash the system this went on for several weeks until I decided to sit there until it happened again so I enojyed my time by playing games on-line until it crashed... this time I was sitting there when it did, and it made an awful screeching noise before shutting down.

I looked it up and found out it was a safety setting put in by intel so you dont fry your CPU... Next I took off the heatsink, removed the CPU, cleaned off the thermal paste, used acetone to make sure no residues were there, re-cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol, reapplied artic silver thermal paste, re-inserted the cpu, reattached the heatsink fan, and VOILA... no more crashes...

Hope you find the culprit...

A couple days into the fresh install I wake up to a rebooted computer, and there was an error message saying there was the blue screen. So that's new lol

Nothing since. hmm

Since the fresh install, as stated above I have been having reboots, with messages. Been looking at the Event Viewer and there are 3 different types, but seem related. I have uploaded a selection of them, hoping someone can read them and figure something out.

No one...So I finally put the clock on my microwave, and got home today and the error for blue screen was there, as it rebooted, but my clock on the microwave is still there. So looks like its my system only, hardware wise.

There are memory dumps from the bugchecks so you should see what they point to.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
