factory xp theme hurts my eyes

Microsofts's xp theme hurts my eyes. The grey they use on toolbars and such is too light. I can fix it my switching to the classic win style but I would rather keep the xp style. Im just not sure what colours I should be changing and what I should change them to.

Any advice?

For the task bar you have three choices. Right click the desktop\properties\appearance. Look for colour scheme.
