Extracting files from Windows CD

Hi,

I need to extract a few files (.dll) from the Windows XP CD.

Any help is appreciated.

BTW, the files I'm trying to extract are in the /I386 folder and have .dl_ extension instead of .dll

maybe you can try to rename the extension .dl_ to .dll ?? Dunno if it will work never tryed it... let me know if it works

I've tried it. it's not working :(
 
If you want to copy file.dl_ from your the i386 directory on the XP CD to the temp directory on your c: drive and if your cd drive is d: drive, the command would look as follows:

expand d:\i386\file.dl_ c:\temp\file.dll

NOTE: There is a space after the underscore and before c:
