Hi,

I need to extract a few files (.dll) from the Windows XP CD.

Any help is appreciated.

BTW, the files I'm trying to extract are in the /I386 folder and have .dl_ extension instead of .dll

Thanks in advance

If you want to copy file.dl_ from your the i386 directory on the XP CD to the temp directory on your c: drive and if your cd drive is d: drive, the command would look as follows:

expand d:\i386\file.dl_ c:\temp\file.dll

NOTE: There is a space after the underscore and before c:

Ep, glad to see you come back and tidy up...did want to ask a one day favor, I want to enhance my resume , was hoping you could make me administrator for a day, if so, take me right off since I won't be here to do anything, and don't know the slightest about the board, but it would be nice putting "served administrator osnn", if can do, THANKS
