Explorer Bar...

i lost that bar on the left of windows (christ that was a poor explanation) see if you can work it out from this screenshot...i just opened 'my computer' up and it'd gone! anyone know how i get it back?

Not sure if you're refering to the folder tree, or the task pane.
Anyways, here's the solution to both:

To get the folder tree in the left pane, select View>Explorer Bar>Folders
To get the Task Pane back, you need to go to Tools>Folder Options, and select the "Show Common Tasks in Folder" option.

Hope one of those are what you were looking for.

it also sometimes goes away when you shrink the window to a certain width
