as many did back in arcade days with the three letter score thingies came up with a 3 letter name........ took Mike, shorted to mic (abb. for microphone)

then years later when moved here a friends mother coined the spikemike as i was one of 4 friends he had named mike to identify me, so put together spike-mic

i got tired of trying to find a good screen name on AOL (hey, i was in middle school, and it was cool to have some cracked out name) but anyway, i got tired of being like "wicked 2308543085", |speedracer484|" or "ben982" [<--that was an actual one of mine.] so i was just like "BenQuilter", and i don't really like numbers, and fortunatly, no one else has my last name, so i didn't have to do my birthyear sort of thing. i'm a fan of trying to use a real name of yours, and i didn't really have a nifty nickname (well, other than "Ben" and that was taken) so i had to settle for the next best thing.
