evening out volume levels of mp3 play list?

I'm looking for a program that evens out the volume level of a playlist or directory. Some mp3s are louder that others. Whats the easiest way to do this. Thanks

Normalize them. Some people would recommend Mp3 Gain. (Which I don't like. Screwed up all my mp3s) You could also use any program listed here.
