well i disabled all the sound schemes on my pc. but now each time someone goes online or sends a msg my pc beeps... from the internal speaker WTH???? why the hell ?? lol what causes that ? i think ill just unplug it lol nething wrong bout doing that ? no repercussion???

lol, have you just tried disabling sounds from within the IM program? but it's completely safe to unplug the speaker, the only time you might need the pc speaker is to diagnose a boot problem

well i disabled ALL the sounds on the pc lol
but no IM prog still had play sound button clicked lol o well

I know XP PowerToys have an option to disable pc's speaker, give it a try if you're not done with it yet...
