error with director player (?)

i installed a kinda older program and the player keeps giving me an error message that i need 3mb of memory free. I have ample memory and the majority of it is free, how can i fix this? this happens when i try to run the program, when i click OK it quits. and i have tried running it in compatability mode with 98.

seen this post somewere else, it was the program that refused to load if there was more than 1gb total memory, including pagefile. so mabey you can disable page file and see if it loads, if not u got to yank a stick out and keep the total under 1gb.
