I am getting the error message:

Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: system32\drivers\ntfs.sys
You can attemps to repair this file by starting windows setup using the original setup CD-Rom

I am back into windows but I want to find a perminant fix to the problem. I am running xp home, I have located the file and it is not blank.

Can I replace the file? If so could you please tell me where to find the file.

Thanks

Mine is 548kb in size. I can send it too you if you want. Then replace it & see if that fixes it.

My file is the same size, but I would like to try and replace it to see if that will fix the problem.

I need an email address. Send me a private message with it if you want. (send pm) link below

I've also seen that error when adding incompatible ram to the computer, have you added new ram?

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
