Erasing DVD-RW producing fatal XP blue Screen?

Strange problem hitting my system the last few weeks.

Using Nero, everytime I go to erase one of my DVD-RW in my A05 I get a XP Blue screen when finished.

It erases the disc right to the end then BAMMM - blue screen quickly giving error ( I catch a quick glimpse IRQ less then ..blah blah)

After reboot the disc appears to be erased and ready to use.

Any ideas?

WinXP Pro
Athlon 1.333GHz 512M RAM a7a266 ASUS etc.
Pioneer A05.

Do you have the most updated drivers for your DVD-RW installed?

Are you using the latest DVD firmware for your drive and also the latest NERO? There are other programs that can erase a DVD such as Alcohol 120% etc... and i'm sure some freeware ones too if you search. I'd start there first and go from there.

I have the same DVD burner as you, Raycaster. Pioneer DVDR A05. I do the same thing as you and does not have any problems. I am too running XP Home and Pro. Your problems must be that your XP did not detect your burner properly. Try reinstalling the software that came with the burner and do the eraise again.
