Sometimes when connecting to servers ET automatically downloads little script files (for ordering maps, changing the standard game etc) ...which is fine....its just that when i next go to load ET i sometimes get a long list of crashes in the dialogue box that pops up as ET is starting.

Anyone else get these? Or does anyone know how to sort them?

sounds odd

you wouldn't happen to have a screenshot by anychance would you?

i get them all the time :p

there''s a list of like 20 things that have crashed, but then it loads just fine :p i have tried getting a screenshot but never can???

Its to do with the way the quake engine saves your settings. The file that your settings are saved in gets deleted when you close the game, so when you come to load it again it can't find it, and so you get the crashes and the resolution reset.

That thread from splash damage has instructions how to solve it, I've done it using that and have had no problems since.

If you need any more help, then ask away

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
